This book contains seven Potawatomi stories from speaker Jim Thunder’s memories. The stories tell about the life of the Potawatomi, some of the funny things that are only told in bars. These are stories about what actually happened to people. Some are events that happened to people Jim knows, a few are relatives. Some are events that happened to Jim, himself. Jim has experienced a lot of things that the current generation will not see because of the loss of the Potawatomi language. This book gets these stories out to the current generation in hopes that they will learn their language, and well, stay out of the bar.
